Debo cortarle el pelo a mi perro cuando hay calor?
En
temporadas como Primavera y Verano solemos pensar que es importante cortar el
pelo a nuestra mascota, sin importar el tipo de pelo que tenga, pero tenemos
que tomar en cuenta que cada raza o cada ser tiene su tipo de pelo y cual
debería ser su correcto mantenimiento.
En
caso de los perros cuando tienen doble capa como tipo Pomeranias, Pastor
Aleman, Samoyedo, Lobo siberiano No es recomendable cortar el pelo con maquina ya
que puede tener unas consecuencias que pueden alterar el crecimiento de su pelo
e incluso le puede dar alergia de la cual es muy difícil de curar.
Los
perros tipo Yorkshire terrier, schnauzer, Fox terrier, Bichon Maltes, Caniches
son aptos para cortes de tijera y cortes a máquina, yo recomendaría a partir de
la cuchilla 9mm ya que es corto y protege de las rayos uv y así evitamos
quemaduras de piel, cáncer de piel o alergias.
Los
perros y Gatos de pelo corto tal como Beagle, Mastin, Labrador, gatos azul ruso, siames... se recomienda el
peine fulminaitor o pet vaciator, no se recomienda en lo absoluto el corte a máquina.
Los
perros de pelo duro tal como el teckel, algunos schnauzer, fox terrier, cocker,
golden retriever se les recomienda realizarles
stripping, técnica arrancado de pelo es muy bueno para que mantenga su pelo
primario y renovar la capa de muda, beneficia su salud y además su pelo lucirá más
sano y brillante.
Hay
que tomar en cuenta que si le cortas el pelo a tu perro o gato muy corto pasará
más calor de lo que te imaginas y incluso le puede dar un golpe de calor o le puede quemar el sol cuando lo saques de
paseo e incluso puede llegar a darle cáncer de piel. La piel de los perros no
regula el calor de la misma forma que la de los humanos, ellos no sudan como
nosotros. El pelo forma una capa aislante que regula su temperatura, esto los
mantiene aislados del frío, calor, lluvia, posibles lesiones o arañazos y les protege
a su vez de los mosquitos o parásitos que puedan atacarlos.
